Pre-seed investing is high-risk. Most early-stage companies fail. Only contribute what you can afford to lose.
How your capital is protected
- Escrow: 100% of your contribution is held in the AI Central Partners account, separate from founder accounts.
- Milestone gating: Funds are released to founders only in tranches, only after the platform independently verifies a milestone.
- Mark-failed clawback: If an idea is marked failed, all unreleased escrow is refunded pro-rata to investors.
- Cooling-off: Full no-questions refund within 24 hours of payment verification.
- Cap per idea: USD 1,000 hard ceiling per investor per idea, reducing single-idea exposure.
How capital can still be lost
- Funds already released against verified milestones are not refundable.
- Founder misrepresentation discovered late may still result in partial loss.
- M-Pesa / banking failures outside the platform's control.
- Force majeure (regulatory shutdown, war, severe market events).
